Why did I write it?
I was too busy setting a record at Engadget to actually pause and journal any of the insanity, though I’d been told from time to time that I should write a book about my experience in what I believe was the Golden Era of tech blogging.
Once I stepped away, my wife reignited my interest in journaling the past decade. Part of it was self-serving — this was a great way for me to permanently capture some of the more zany days of my life. Part of it, however, was based on a genuine desire to share my productivity secrets with the world.
I want remote work to become the norm, not the exception. This is me doing my part to make that happen.
Who is it for?
Living The Remote Dream is for anyone who is ambitious enough to charge against the grain in search of a more fulfilling way to work. Those looking for a silver bullet won’t find it here, but if you’re up for working hard, compromising, and getting out of your comfort zone in order to fully define your work zone — hopefully you’ll appreciate this book.
